Here is where our offices are located

Our Lab is located within the Department of Industrial Engineering, Via Terracini 34, Bologna, Italia.

Activities

Activities in our lab focus on vibroacoustic measurements, electronics, high-performance computing and audio research.

Vibracoustics

We test wooden samples using accelerometric and laser vibrometry. We built a special aluminium frame to measure larger soundboards. Software includes COMSOL Multiphysics for finite element simulation and Bruel&Kjaer BK Connect for modal analysis.

Electronics

Our workbench includes a temperature-controlled soldering station, digital multimeters, bench power supply, miniature drawer cabinets, flush cutters, and oscilloscopes.

High-performance computing

We rely on a Dell Precision 7960 Tower Workstation equipped with a 12-core Intel Xeon Processor, 64GB RAM, and an NVIDIA T1000 GPU.

Audio Equipment

The lab hosts two MPE-compatible MIDI keyboards (Arturia KeyLab 49 and Expressive-E Osmose), two Genelec 8020 monitors, and an RME ADI-2 soundcard
